Tinubu Extends Tenure of Immigration Comptroller-General Nandap

A statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Monday confirmed that Mrs. Nandap will now serve in the role until December 31, 2026.

Mrs. Nandap, who joined the NIS on October 9, 1989, was appointed Comptroller-General by President Tinubu on March 1, 2024, with her initial tenure set to expire on August 31, 2025.

However, the extension reflects the administration’s confidence in her leadership and the progress recorded under her watch.

Since assuming office, she has spearheaded key reforms, including enhanced border security, modernization of immigration processes, and improved national security frameworks. Her efforts align with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Commending her achievements, President Tinubu urged her to sustain the momentum in safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity while promoting safe and legal migration.

He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the NIS in fulfilling its mandate of enhancing security and streamlining immigration services.
