
President Bola Tinubu has approved the constitution of the boards of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and the Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF), both under the Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy.
A statement by Mr Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, in Abuja said Mr Idris Olorunnimbe has been appointed Chairman of the NCC. Dr Aminu Maida will continue as Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, a position he has held since October 2023.
Olorunnimbe previously served on the board of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), where he chaired the Stakeholder and Governance Committee and promoted youth employment and entrepreneurship programmes.

For the USPF, the President named the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijani, as Chairman, with Olorunnimbe as Vice Chairman.
