
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of new chief executives for three key federal government institutions, in a move the Presidency says reflects his commitment to strengthening national institutions.
The appointments were announced in a statement issued in Abuja by Mr. Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
According to the statement, Mr. Bello Bawa Bwari has been named Director-General of the National Biosafety Management Agency for an initial four-year term, effective September 18, 2025.
Mr. Aminu Junaidu was appointed Chairman of the Investment and Security Tribunal, also for a five-year term beginning September 18, 2025.
Similarly, Mr. Olayiwola Nurudeen Awakan has been appointed Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, with his four-year tenure taking effect from September 2, 2025.
Imohiosen noted that the appointments highlight the Tinubu administration’s resolve to reposition strategic sectors of the economy. He added that the President charged the new appointees to deploy their expertise to advance growth and development within their respective agencies for the benefit of the nation.
