Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has concluded its National Delegates Convention with the emergence of a new set of National Executive members
The election of National Executives, which held at the Mauve 21 Event Centre, Ibadan on Saturday 3rd December, completes the transition process which started with elections into both local and State chapters of the Association.
Even though the process witnessed a hot contest among candidates for various offices, yet the election was peaceful and considered free and credible. At the end of the election, Otunba Bolaji Amusan was returned unopposed as the President of the Association.
Those also returned include: Odunlade Adekola – Director Motion Pictures; Toyosi Adesanya – Director Social Welfare and Sola Kosoko Abina – National Auditor. Others newly elected are: Rose Odika – Deputy President, Mudashir Olabiyi – Secretary General, Sunday Osibata- Asst. Secretary, Alh. Alimi Olayiwola- Director of Business, Adebanji Adelusi – Director, Publicity and Media, Anthony Ogundimu – Provost Marshal,Tope Faturoti – Provost Marshal II, Ayo Oladapo – Director of Finance, Sulaimon Ayodeji – National Treasurer, Adeniyi Adedayo – Director, Theatre Arts and Damola Olatunji – Director, Research.
In his acceptance speech, Otunba Bolaji Amusan congratulated all the newly elected officials for emerging victorious and fulfilling their aspiration to mount the saddle of leadership of the Association. He however encouraged all who lost in their bid to hold national offices to continue to work towards the success of the Association in promoting prosperity for every member.
Otunba Amusan urged the new officials to join hands with him so that all the objectives and set goals for the Association in his second term shall be achieved. He promised to ensure every officer performs his or her duties without inhibiting the discharge of their responsibilities.
While appreciating TAMPAN Electoral Committee (TELCOM) for concluding the process in a manner that allowed the Association to maintain its culture and tradition for peaceful transition, Otunba Amusan applauded the unique leadership of the chairman of the Committee, Olu-omo Biodun Abe fta.
The election was concluded in the full glare of members of Board of Trustees of the Association including Chief Adebayo Salami, Chief Ojo Olowojolu, Pa Tubosun Odunsi and others.
The elected officials have since been sworn-in for their four-year term.
