Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has made his first public appearance following his removal from office after the declaration of a state of emergency in the state.
Fubara was spotted on Sunday at the headquarters of Salvation Ministries in GRA, Port Harcourt, where he attended a church service.
His appearance comes days after President Bola Tinubu imposed a state of emergency in Rivers State, citing rising political tensions and security concerns. As part of the decision, Fubara, his deputy, Prof. Ngozi Odu, and all state lawmakers were suspended from office.
In their place, the President appointed retired Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas as the Sole Administrator to oversee the state’s affairs for an initial period of six months.
Fubara attended the service alongside his Chief of Staff, Edison Ehie.
