A prominent community leader in Oye-Ekiti and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC, Chief Bamitale Oguntoyinbo, has urged Governor Biodun Oyebanji to remain focused on his mission to develop the state.
Speaking with journalists in Ado Ekiti, Chief Oguntoyinbo, who is the Obalodo of Oye-Ekiti, and Chairman of the Ekiti State Environmental Protection Agency, dismissed critics of the governor as people seeking relevance.
He noted that many of those attacking the administration were party members who abandoned their communities after holding brief political appointments, without leaving any tangible achievements behind.
Chief Oguntoyinbo, who is also a former Director of the National Orientation Agency in Ekiti, described such critics as those already disconnected from their people and unworthy of attention.
He appealed to Governor Oyebanji and his supporters home and abroad to stay committed to their developmental drive, saying that the present administration had achieved much in the areas of security, welfare, health, education, power, infrastructures, agriculture, and social investment among others, hence the need for continuity.
