The former Special Adviser to the President, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, has condoled with the APC Ekiti state, The Governor and the good people of Ekiti State on the demise of the former Party’s helmsman, Chief George Akosile.
Senator Ojudu,. described the death of the late Chief Akosile as a rude shock and a loss to the members of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti state.
In a Press release signed by the Media Office of the leading Politician, Senator Ojudu said the late Chief Akosile was a strong pillar in Ekiti politics.
He said, he could remember the intervention of the late political sage, at a time when political situation was not at it’s best in Nigeria.
Senator Ojudu said the late Chief Akosile was not in any doubt when he took him to Asiwaju BOLA Ahmed Tinubu then to step his governorship ambition down for that of Dr Kayode Fayemi .
The former Special Advisers opined that the vacuum left with the death of the late leading Politician, will be difficult to fill.
Senator Ojudu also empathized with the immediate family of the late elder statesman when he visited on Monday. He prayed that the Almighty God will accept his soul in heaven. He had a private talk with the son of the deceased Mr Olukayode Akosile and promised that he would mobilize his peers in the state to give the late party leader a befitting burial.
“I owe the old man this as I persuaded him in year 2006 to shelf his ambition to be governor of Ekiti State in favour of Governor Kayode Fayemi. When it became difficult for me I had to engage Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to assist. Apart from this, his late son Mr Kola Akosile who I met through Mr Femi Falana became a good friend of mine”
