The Senate Leader, Dr. Michael Opeyemi Bamidele has facilitated the construction of a N1 billion 500 capacity Computer Based Examination (CBE) Centre in Ekiti State University, Ado – Ekiti.
The project which is expected to be completed and handed over to the university is sited at the Directorate of General Studies (GST) of the university.
At the foundation laying ceremony of the project, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Babatola Ayodele expressed the university’s appreciation to Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, who he described as a Godsent benefactor to Ekiti State University, Ado – Ekiti.
The Vice Chancellor highlighted Senator Bamidele’s interventions in the university to include the construction of Medical hostels, construction of a 2 kilometre road and construction of an FM radio station for the use of the students of Mass Communication, among others.
In a press release by the Deputy Registrar/Head, Directorate of Information and Corporate Affairs, Mr. Bode Olofinmuagun, Professor Ayodele remarked that the university would always be grateful to the Senate Leader for the project which would add more value to the university and promised that it would be judiciously utilized.
Earlier, the Director, Directorate of General Studies, Professor Bolanle Eniola hinted that she approached the Senate Leader for the intervention as a way of adding value to the Directorate, as well as alleviating its accommodation challenges. She also appreciated the Senate Leader for his benevolent gesture.
