The Senate has confirmed Capt. Chris Ona Najomo as the substantive Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
His confirmation came on Thursday after the Senate Committee on Aviation presented its report at plenary.
The committee chairman, Sen. Buhari Abdulfatai, stated that Najomo was screened and found qualified for the position, citing his extensive experience and contributions to the aviation sector.
Najomo has been serving in an acting capacity since December 2023 following the suspension of former DG, Capt. Musa Nuhu.
His nomination was forwarded to the Senate after the expiration of Nuhu’s tenure.
