Segun Oni Promises Regular Payment Of Salaries.

The former Governor of Ekiti State and flag bearer of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in June 18, governorship election in Ekiti State, Chief Segun Oni, has promised regular and prompt payment of salaries to the civil servants if elected as Governor again this Saturday.

Oni made this promise at the grand finale of his campaign in Ado Ekiti, the State capital.

Speaking on the deduction being made on the pension of the pensioners, he said he met with some civil servants and that he discovered that pension deduction are not paid by the current government. Saying if something is not done now, “it means very soon our people will be retiring and then, nothing would be done”. Said Oni.

The National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Shehu Musa Garba described the party’s candidate for the Saturday election in Ekiti, as a man of peace, unity and prosperity who believes in fairness.

He thanked his loyalists for their unalloyed support and urged them to canvass for his victory in the election.

In his words, “Let me tell you, it’s not about today but Saturday. I want to assure you that SDP believes in Segun Oni, we have confidence in him.He is a man of peace, a man of unity, a man of prosperity, a man who believes in fairness.

The party is grateful for your sacrifice and we assure you that he will deliver well.Therefore, let’s all come out this Saturday and vote for our son for SDP to claim the victory.”

Also, the Presidential Candidate of the Party, Mr Adewole Adebayo enjoined the party patriots to vote for Oni and support him come 2023 general election for the betterment of the State and Nigeria at large.

Attending the campaign are SDP governorship Candidate of Taraba State, Danladi Baido, Kenneth Gbagi of Delta State, Akeem Lawal of Kwara State, Dr Umar Ardo of Adamawa State, Chief Olu Agunloye from Ondo State among others.
