The attention of the Ekiti State Government has been drawn to media reports alleging the abduction and/or arrest of *Mrs. Abimbola Olajumoke Olawunmi*.
The Ekiti State Government hereby issues this public disclaimer to set the records straight.
The Government categorically states that it has no involvement whatsoever in the alleged abduction, arrest, or detention of Mrs. Abimbola Olajumoke Olawunmi.
The State Government neither ordered nor had any prior knowledge of any police action relating to Mrs. Olawunmi.
In line with the principles of the rule of law, the Ekiti State Government under the present democratic administration upholds the fundamental rights to personal liberty and freedom of all citizens.
Law enforcement agencies in the State operate independently in the discharge of their constitutional duties and are not under the direction or control of the State Government in individual cases.
Members of the public and the media are therefore advised to disregard any false narratives or insinuations linking the Ekiti State Government to the alleged incident.
