A popular TikTok content creator known simply as ‘Disturbing’ has been buried following his sudden collapse during a live broadcast at his residence in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
A viral video seen by our correspondent on Friday captured the creator’s final moments, during which he appeared to suffer a seizure before collapsing.
A resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the incident occurred on Thursday and that he passed away the following morning. “He was buried immediately according to the decision of the family,” the source said.
The deceased was notably active in the Justice for Mohbad movement. Members of the movement, including the late singer’s father, Joseph Aloba, have reportedly visited the family to offer condolences.
In a TikTok post, the deceased’s wife, identified simply as Omowunmi, explained that her husband struck his head on a stone after falling during the seizure.
“Yesterday morning, my husband was on TikTok live while I cooked his food in the kitchen. Suddenly, he had a seizure, fell, and hit his head on a stone. Blood started coming out of his head. Some neighbours and a young boy passing by saw him and initially thought he fainted. They poured water on him until the boy ran inside to call me,” she recounted.
Omowunmi said he was rushed to the hospital and placed on oxygen, but he passed away on Friday morning.
She clarified that the incident was not a result of any spiritual attack, as speculated by some, but due to a known medical condition. According to her, the late content creator had a history of seizures and was on medication, with the last episode occurring in February.
“To everyone saying it was a spiritual attack, it was a medical condition,” she stressed.
