Police Should Be Well Equipped To Tackle Insecurity – DIG Rtd, Alabi Tasks FG     … holds special thanksgiving service at country home, Ilawe-Ekiti

Alabi who spoke in Ilawe Ekiti shortly after his thanksgiving service at the Saint John Catholic  Pro-Cathedral, Ilawe Ekiti, noted that though the present government is trying, much more still needed to be done especially in the areas of logistics and technology.

According to Alabi, officers most times improvised while fighting crime, a situation he said would not give any force the desired result.

He affirmed that Nigeria Police were always in the forefront at any peace keeping mission outside the country and their services are always rated high but the same officers are limited in capacity in Nigeria just because they don’t have the right tools and wherewithal to operate.

Speaking on his next move, retired DIG Alabi confirmed that he would still continue to contribute to the security system of the country and probably have some play out in politics.

Earlier during the thanksgiving service, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Ekiti, the Most Reverend Felix Ajakaye congratulated Alabi on a successful and meritorious service to his father land.

He described Alabi as a God fearing man who did not allow the position to get into his head.

At the reception, Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji and his predecessor, Kayode Fayemi spoke glowingly of DIG Alabi retired and demanded more of his contributions to the development of Ekiti State

Friends and family members who also spoke separately, said many kind words about DIG Alabi retired.

The programme was well attended by people from all works of life including, traditional rulers, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, captains of industry, top government officials, just to mention but a few.
