PDP Reconciliation Committee Seeks Unity to Reclaim Power in 2027

Speaking on Thursday at the PDP North-East Zonal Caucus meeting in Bauchi, Oyinlola emphasized that the committee’s primary goal is to engage with aggrieved members and address existing grievances to strengthen the party’s unity.

“The main purpose of the committee is to reach out to aggrieved members and those with concerns to rebuild a formidable political party in the country,” he stated.

Also addressing the gathering, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State assured members of the party’s dedication to upholding its integrity. He noted that the North-East zone had been identified as the least affected by divisions and internal conflicts within the party.

“We have met with the reconciliation committee set up by the National Working Committee (NWC), and we are committed to ensuring that our zone remains united and focused,” Mohammed said.

He further emphasized that the party’s leaders were working diligently to implement projects and policies that would directly benefit the people.

“We remain loyal to our zone and respective state chapters, including those without a sitting governor, and we will continue to strengthen our party,” he added.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State described the reconciliation initiative as timely, given the internal challenges facing the PDP. He stressed that unity and collective effort were essential for the party to regain its leadership position.

“The PDP can only bounce back through collective efforts. I urge all aggrieved members to come to the roundtable, reconcile, and move forward,” Fintiri said.

The meeting underscored the party’s resolve to address internal disputes, foster unity, and prepare strategically for the 2027 elections.
