Pastor Abioye Starts New Church After Retirement From Winners Chapel

Abioye announced on Monday via his official X handle that he would commence Sunday morning services under his new ministry starting from May 4.

He wrote, “Exciting news! By the grace of God, starting next Sunday, our service is moving to the morning, 8:00am. It’s a new day for you — come ready to be blessed mightily in Jesus’ name. Mark your calendars, set your alarms — we can’t wait to see you there! Tag someone you’re inviting!”

Abioye, alongside Bishop Thomas Aremu, retired from Winners Chapel in October 2024 after a leadership policy review set 55 as the official retirement age. At the time, Abioye was 63 years old, while Aremu was 67.

Following his retirement, Abioye established a non-denominational ministry, initially holding Sunday evening services. However, in a recent update on April 27, he announced the shift to Sunday mornings at 8:00am.

In a video message, he said, “Very important information. From next Sunday by the grace of God, our service is migrating to morning. Hallelujah. And the time is 8am. God bless you mightily in Jesus’ name.”

Pastor Abioye’s new phase in ministry marks a significant transition for one of the key figures who helped shape Winners Chapel over the years.
