The Special Adviser on Media to the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr.Yinka Oyebode has restated that his principal, Governor BAO was ever ready and always willing to work and collaborate with every group and professional bodies, with a view to building a better and bigger economy in the State.

The SA Media made the remark on Wednesday when he received the leadership of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Ekiti State Chapter, in his office in Ado-Ekiti, the State capital.
Earlier In his opening remark, the Ekiti State NIPR Chairman, Pastor Anthony Adesua, while appreciating Mr. Oyebode for his usual gestures to the Institute, the Ekiti NIPR chairman observed that there are several areas that NIPR can be of great benefit to the state government, particularly in projecting the government in a positive light which has always been the business of the Institute.

The Chairman sought for intervention of the Governor’s Aide to assist PR practitioners in the State get value for their professional development among other gains for their practice in the state government.
The Ekiti NIPR helmsman also canvassed for the redesignation and proper placement of PR practioners in the public service of Ekiti State government and their counterparts in the local government in line with the recent decision of the National Council of Establishment.
Pastor Adesua also solicited the support of the Ekiti State government for the chapter’s intention to invite the President and Chairman of the NIPR Governing Council in the person of Dr. Ike Neliaku, to visit Ekiti State with a view to giving further credence to the good work, which Governor BAO has been doing.

He added that the NIPR president’s visit to Ekiti State will facilitate the inauguration of the State Governor as an NIPR patron, by virtue of the NIPR enabling laws
In a further advocacy,, the immediate past Chairman of the Institute in Ekiti, Fellow Sunday Adeyemi-Adejolu, pointed out that the NIPR President’s visit to the State would be a big booster for the social and economic development of Ekiti State, hence he pleaded with the SA Media to the Governor to convince the government on the gains which the visit of the NIPR President could have on the socio-conomic polity of the state
Adeyemi-Adejolu also harped on the forthcoming Annual General Meeting/ second NIPR Week of the Institute holding at Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State in May this year. He advocated for the support of the State Government to sponsor some of its employees carrying out PR practice for the governent and as well as other forms of support for the Ekiti State contingent to the second NIPR week holding at Uyo.
