Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, will resume official duties on Monday, November 24, 2025, after concluding his two-week statutory annual leave.
The governor had commenced the leave on November 9 but cut it short on November 19 following security concerns in some neighbouring states. Upon his return, he met with select heads of security agencies on November 20 to review the security situation in Ekiti.
According to a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Olayinka Oyebode, this is the first time Governor Oyebanji is going on leave since assuming office on October 16, 2022.
Meanwhile, the governor has congratulated members of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) on the successful hosting of their 21st annual conference in Abuja. He also welcomed the President and executives of the Guild to Ekiti for their Standing Committee Meeting scheduled to hold at the Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort from November 23 to 24, 2025.
