Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has charged public officers in the state to use the Easter season to rededicate themselves to the service of the people.
The Technical Advisor to Ekiti Governor on Servicom, Biodun Akin-Fasae in a release in Ado Ekiti says that the Governor gave the charge in his Easter Servicom message, saying it has become imperative for public officers to rededicate themselves to the public good in view of the public opinion that the people do not always receive a fair treatment in the quality of the public service.
According to the Governor, Easter’s message of sacrifice by the Saviour Jesus Christ is instructive for public officers to be selfless in their service to the state and fellow mankind.
Oyebanji noted that his vision of shared prosperity for all in Ekiti would be achieved if all public officers are diligent and have it behind their minds that the people deserve to be served right.
The Governor also urged Christian public officers to share love and affection by reaching out to their neighbours especially the needy in the spirit of the Easter season.
Speaking about Servicom, the Technical Advisor to the Governor explained that Servicom was established by the federal government in recognition of the need for a mechanism to enhance public service delivery and ensure the citizens receive efficient, timely, and transparent services.
Akin-Fasae added that Servicom was domesticated in Ekiti State to further reiterate the commitment of the BAO administration towards making the public service more productive and serve the people well.
