Osuntokun, Labour Party DG, Wants Supporters To Vote Massively For Obi In Ekiti

The Director General of Campaign Organization for the Presidential candidate of Labour Party in February 25th Presidential election in Nigeria, Dr. Peter Obi and his running mate, Yusuf Datti, Balogun Akin Osuntokun, has called on the entire people of Ekiti State to rally round the candidate on election day and vote massively for Peter Obi. 

Osuntokun being Ekiti son, made the call while holding a Town Hall meeting with the representatives of the party across the sixteen local government areas of Ekiti State in Ado-Ekiti, the State capital on Saturday.

The DG particularly charged all members who will be serving as Party Agents on the election day to ensure that they carry out their duties accordingly by ensuring that they don’t give room to anyone to play pranks on them in any way.

Members of the party, both men and women were able to express their minds to the DG Presidential Campaign Council and other leaders of the party on their expectations in terns of logistics from the National body especially now that the election day is around the corner as most of them affirmed that their decision to stay in the party and work for the Presidential candidate of the party was as a result of the love they have for Peter Obi who they described as the most credible candidate amongst the candidates vying for the Presidential race.

In his response, Akin Osuntokun gave assurance that logistics will be provided with the promise that items meant for the women in the State would be released to them on Monday through his wife, Mrs Osuntokun who unavoidably absent from the meeting as she was said to be on the entourage of the wife of the party’s candidate, Mrs Obi to other States.

Also, the Presidential Campaign Coordinator in the State, Mr. Moses Jolayemi, explained that though, Labour Party may not be able to spend money like the candidates from other political parties who embezzled the money meant for the masses, however said the leadership of Labour Party knows what’s obtainable and promised that the needful would be done.

The meeting was well attended by the National and State leaders of the party. Representatives who came from all the local government areas of the State departed for their various destinations with the promise that they would go back home to intensify door to door campaign that could bring about the victory of their principal
