OSUN @ 32: APC  Greets Osun Citizens

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated the people of Osun State on the 32nd anniversary of the creation of the state.

The state chairman of the party, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo today stated that “there’s a cause for the celebration of the state creation as God has counted us worthy to witness the anniversary”.

Lawal explained that it takes the grace of God for one to witness the creation of the State and still be counted worthy to witness its creation after 32 solid years.

He used the occasion of the anniversary to appreciate  the founding fathers of the state who struggled for the creation of the state 32 years ago.

Lawal enjoined the members and supporters of the APC in the State not to be discouraged by the present plight of the party with reference to the last series of elections held in the State, telling them that it is only a passing phase in the history of the party.

The State APC chairman assured the members and supporters of the APC that all the things necessary to be done are in progress for the improvement and sustainability of the fortune of the party.

He told the leaders of the APC at all levels of the party not to joke with meetings as nothing tangible can be achieved without meetings.

Lawal explained further that whoever has been following the history of the APC in the state would not agree less that God is indeed abiding by the party with the recent national appointments netted by some of the leaders of the party.

In his words: “On behalf of the state executive officers of our party and all its members, I am congratulating all the members of our party in the state in particular and all the inhabitants of the state in general on the 32nd anniversary of the creation of our dear state.

“It is my prayer  that God would continue to preside over the affairs of the state in the overall interest of the development of the state”, Lawal prayed.
