OLUFON STOOL: Olaojo Ruling House Preaches Peace, Lauds Osun Govt’s Timely Intervention

The Olaojo Ruling House of Ifon-Osun, Orolu Kingdom comprising the Morohunfolu/Odunolu Royal Families have commended the Osun State Government under the able leadership of Sen. Ademola Adeleke over what they described as timely intervention towards effecting the selection and installation of a new king for the Ifon-Osun Orolu Kingdom of Osun State.

This commendation was contained in a communique issued by the Olaojo Ruling House of Ifon-Osun Orolu Kingdom comprising the Morohunfolu/Odunolu Royal Families after a meeting held in their house on Monday the 25th day of September, 2023 where the peace loving family also appealed for calm from all the concerned parties involved in the royal struggle.

The communique reads “the family is concerned about the absence of a king in our ancient town and hereby express our profound appreciation to the Osun State government to effect the selection and installation of a new king”.

The family also appreciate the decision of the government to adopt the use of the extant 1988 Chieftaincy declaration to select of the oba, while enjoining all interested parties to allow the Ifon Kingmakers to carry out the selection of the appropriate candidate to fill the vacant stool in accordance with their statutory responsibilities.

The communique which was signed by Prince (Alhaji) Sule Akinyooye, the Mogaji Olaojo Ruling House/Morohunfolu Royal Family. Prince Wahab Oyegbile, Mogaji Odunolu Royal Family and the Secretary, Olaojo Royal Family/Jurat, Prince Benson Adekunle  also appealed to all parties to allow peace to reign and avoid inflammatory statement and any action that may affect the peace and stability of their ancestral home.
