The federal lawmaker, representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency 1 at the green chamber, Hon Rufus Adeniyi Ojuawo (AVM Rtd), has launched the second phase of his farm empowerment project in Ogotun-Ekiti.
The 5-hectare farm, part of a 20-hectare land generously donated by the Ologotun of Ogotun-Ekiti, aims at improving the lives of 32 constituents in Ekiti South West, specifically in Ilawe, Igbara Odo, and Ogotun Ekiti.
The project focuses on cultivating high-demand crops, starting with pepper, provides training, resources, and support to enhance livelihoods and stimulate economic growth.
“Agriculture is not just a means of livelihood but a pathway to economic empowerment,” the federal lawmaker emphasized.
This initiative builds on the success of the Ogbese Empowerment Farm, benefited Ikere and Ise/Orun local governments.
The Ojuawo Empowerment Farm demonstrates Hon. Ojuawo’s commitment to community empowerment through sustainable agriculture, paving the way for a brighter economic future in his constituency.
