Obalodo of Oye Kingdom, Chief Oguntoyinbo Calls For Mass Participation In Voter’s Registration … eulogizes former monarch 

Chief Obalodo made the appeal while addressing residents of the community at a meeting held over the weekend on the need for adequate security of lives and property of the people living in the area. He urged both the indigenes and non-indigenes, especially landlords of hostels and hotels owners in the area to cooperate and device a security architecture that would assist to contain criminality in the community.

The meeting which was well attended by prominent community leaders, landlords and business owners, appreciated Chief Obalodo for initiating the meeting which according to them was long overdue. They also  commended him for his efforts to see that Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji  constructed a box culvert at the entrance of Ilodo community to solve perennial erosion blockage at the entrance of the community. 

The community members present at the  meeting unanimously agreed to be coming together once a month to deliberate on  security and the development of the area.

Giving credence to the former paramount ruler of Oye Kingdom, His Royal Majesty,  late Oba Jonathan Adebayo Aribatishe who reigned from 1942 to 1958, Chief Bamitale Oguntoyinbo hailed the late monarch who he described as an embodiment of personality whose reign and roles cannot be forgotten in history of Oye Ekiti, particularly the transformation of old Oye Kingdom to the modern Oye Kingdom. 

“In his word,  the late Oba Aribatishe the 2nd, was a courageous Oba with foresight, diginity, honesty, and he was loved by Oye sons and daughters within and outside “.
