The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has commenced its computer-based aptitude test on Saturday, attracting 45,689 applicants competing for various positions across the organization.
In a statement, NNPCL spokesperson Olufemi Soneye noted that the recruitment drive is part of the company’s efforts to fill roles across multiple departments. Interested candidates were earlier directed to visit the NNPCL careers page for application details, following the announcement of openings on July 25, 2024.
The national oil company, in an update on its official X handle, reassured the public that the selection process would be strictly merit-based, ensuring that only the most qualified candidates are employed.
NNPCL Group Chief Executive Officer Mele Kyari visited the testing center, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process.
“As an equal opportunity employer, NNPCL has implemented measures to accommodate applicants with disabilities, ensuring they can participate in the test without barriers,” the statement said.
Kyari reiterated that the recruitment process aims to uphold the highest standards, with the final selection focusing solely on merit.
