Ekiti New Head Of Service Unveils Vision

The Head of Service ( HoS), Engineer Sunday Komolafe has charged top civil servants to continue to be diligent and hardworking which is the cornerstones of successful engagement

Komolafe who gave the charge during his maiden meeting with the Senior Management Committee(SMC) and Accounting Officers at separate meetings in Ado, said that the collective desire of workers was to see the State Government achieve its goals.

The Head of Service applauded the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji- led administration’s efforts at improving the worker’s welfare.

Komolafe harps on the importance of continuity in leadership, vowing to build upon the legacy programmes initiated by his predecessors, with a special focus on the keep-fit exercise and groundbreaking innovations that will focus on the well-being and healthy living for all workers.

He also announced the Government’s resolve towards a digital transformation that was poised to enhance efficiency and usher in a new era for optimal government performance.

The new HoS also said that his leadership style will equally inspire openness and accessibility which would also ensure that his Office door remains open, inviting consultation from all workers, underlining the importance of collaboration in the modern-day civil service.

He said that the Government will leverage the lessons learnt during the COVID-19 pandemic to digitalise government activities and encourage the workforce to prepare for training and retraining programmes that would stir up their activities.

The HoS said that the Ministries, Department and Agencies newly created by the Government were to expand the civil service’s scope and those involved would receive the required directives to reflect a proactive approach to governance.

Komolafe stated that fairness and meritocracy were central to his ethos with promises that hard work and laziness would be dealt with according to the established rules.

He acknowledged the labour force’s understanding and cooperation with the Government and requested more cooperation from all workers, earnestly calling for increased interaction between service leaders and government employees.

As the applause once again filled the hall at the meeting, it was clear that a new chapter was unfolding in the Ekiti governance setup.

Engineer Sunday Komolafe’s vision had ignited hope, and the future promised transformation, inclusivity, and excellence. The journey had begun, and the people of Ekiti awaited the realization of these commitments, eagerly anticipating a brighter tomorrow
