Popular Nigerian media personality, Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, widely known as Nedu Wazobia, has announced his exit from The Honest Bunch podcast following recent controversies.
His resignation comes after an episode featuring comedian Deeone, who alleged that social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) was attracted to men.
VDM’s Allegations and Legal Warning
In response, VDM claimed that Nedu had persistently invited him to the podcast since 2024, allegedly offering to buy him a car as an incentive. He also accused Nedu of orchestrating the accusations made by Deeone and issued a legal warning through his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, threatening to expose alleged dealings involving female celebrities.
Nedu’s Statement on His Exit
In a statement shared on Instagram on Friday, Nedu cited intense scrutiny and personal attacks as reasons forNigerian stepping down.
“Hosting The Honest Bunch podcast has been an incredible journey, but the scrutiny, antagonism, and unfounded accusations have taken a toll,” he wrote.
“I have decided to step away for my peace of mind, my family, and the integrity of the show.”
Nedu expressed hope that his exit would put an end to the controversy while wishing the podcast continued success.
With his departure, the future direction of The Honest Bunch podcast remains uncertain.
