The Chairman, Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters who is also the APC Senatorial candidate of Ekiti Central Senatorial District in the 25th February, 2023 National Assembly elections, Sen. Michael Opeyemi Bamidele has rounded off his campaigns on Thursday, 23rd February, 2023.
In a statement issued by his Media Office on Friday, Bamidele said his senatorial campaign was brought to a close on Thursday in line with the dictates of the Electoral Act.
The Federal lawmaker appreciated all party leaders and stalwarts, traditional rulers and chiefs, community and religious leaders, market women and men, transport unions, artisans, the youth and other stakeholders for their warm reception and show of love throughout the campaign period.
Bamidele also expressed his heart-felt gratitude to the media and the law enforcement agents for their balanced reportage and provision of adequate security to his team respectively.
He pointed out that he is confident of winning the forthcoming Senatorial election in Ekiti Central Senatorial district based on his track record of achievements in his first term as well as the series of endorsements, prayers, encouragement and words of assurance that he received from the electorate in the course of the campaigns.
According to him, “I am confident of wining the election by the grace of God. My track records of performance in the 9th Senate and the series of endorsement, prayers, encouragement as well as assurance by the electorate had reinforced my confidence and unshakable faith in wining the election.
Therefore, I earnestly look forward to a peaceful, credible, free and fair election that is devoid of violence, dispute and rancour.
“I am happy that my last point of call is the palace of my esteemed royal father, the Ajero of Ijero kingdom, Oba Joseph Adewole and I profusely thank him for giving his royal blessings for my re-election bid, even as I assure my constituents of greater dividends of democracy and excellent representation in the Senate if re-elected by the grace of God”
