The Executive Chairman, Moba Local Government Area of Ekiti State. Mr. Bamidele Fadugba, has emphasized the need to endorse the state governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi for a second term considering his people-oriented programmes and all inclusive governance.
The Council boss made the emphasis when he paid a courtesy visit to journalists at the State Secretariat of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ado-Ekiti, the State capital.
While addressing the newsmen, Fadugba appealed to the people of Ekiti State to give more support to the governor noting that the governor’s leadership style has impacted positively on different political divides in the state.
Speaking on his achievements within the last six months of his administration as Chairman of the local government, Fadugba outlined empowerment of youths in various skills acquisition programmes whom he said were equally supported with tools/equipment to work with.
Stressing further, the Chairman stated that the security of lives and property of the people of his local government area is very germane and that he gives utmost priority to it which according to him prompted the introduction of a security outfit tagged; MOBA ABOBA SECURITY ENFORCEMENT (MASE) to combat crimes and criminalities in his area of jurisdiction in Moba local government.
Other achievements so far recorded include payment of examination fees for students, construction and grading of roads to the farmsteads.
He appreciated journalists for the level of publicity given to the policies and programmes of the Ekiti State governor, Biodun Oyebanji, thereby showcasing what the government is doing to the world.
In his remarks, the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ekiti State Council, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi appreciated the Chairman for deeming it fit to pay a visit to journalists and promised Honourable Fadugba that he would ensure that he enjoys the support of Ekiti journalists by projecting his activities in a good light.
