The Organized Labour in Ekiti State has denied the malicious statement being spread on the social media by the faceless individuals captioned; “The Outcome of the Meeting Between the Organised Labour and the HOS” wherein the labour leaders and Head of Service were blackmailed.
Statement consigned by the NLC Chairman, Kolapo Olatunde, TUC Chairman, Sola Adigun and JNC Chairman, Femi Ajoloko describes the statement as fake which they claimed did not originate from any of the Labour Unions, be it NLC, TUC and JNC, saying the statement was cooked up by third columnists and evil minded souls who are bent on destroying the good relationship between government and Ekiti State workers and urged that it should be totally disregarded.
Fact of the matter according to the statement was that;
“The Organized Labour actually met with the Head of Service on the 22nd of December, 2023, at his office but the purveyor and peddlers of the fake news goofed about the subject of discussion.
“The meeting which was at the instance of both the Organized Labour and the Head of Service was to acknowledge the leadership qualities of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, particularly towards the workers and to strengthen the already existing relationship between the government and the labour leaders.
“At no time did the HOS and Labour leaders condemn the Governor, how can any Labour leaders oppose a gesture of such magnitude for its members? Only a foolish leader will do such.
“The comments ascribed to the HOS as regards the relationship with the Commissioner for Finance was the figment of imagination of the writer just to attract cheap sympathy and achieve their ulterior motives.
“The Organized Labour in Ekiti State is headed by responsible and responsive leaders who know their onions, there is no reason to create enmity withthe Government when there is no reason for one. These agents of destruction did not just start, they have always been around making attempts to throw clog in the wheel of progress and they will continue to fail.
“We hereby warned these evil masterminds to desist or face the wrath of God.
The Organized Labour also appealed to members of the public to disregard the statement, while assuring the government of Ekiti State of cooperation towards recording more breakthroughs in the areas of workers’ welfare.
