The Muslim-Christian Businessmen’s Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has condemned the recent attacks in Plateau State, describing them as “savage killings” that target Christians during a sacred time of the year.

In a statement, MACBAN said, “The continued failure to prevent and intercept these targeted attacks not only deepens human suffering, but also threatens the fabric of religious coexistence in the region.”
The group urged the government to protect Nigerians’ lives and religious liberty, saying, “The need for the government to step up and protect the lives and religious liberty of Nigerians cannot be overstated.”
MACBAN also warned against inflammatory rhetoric, as Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang met with President Bola Tinubu to discuss the violence, labelling it terrorism.
