LG Chairman Dies After Prolonged Illness

Asafa reportedly died after battling a prolonged illness.

His death was confirmed in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Bodunrin Ayodele, via Facebook on Saturday. However, the exact date of his passing was not disclosed.

The statement described the late council boss as a committed public servant and grassroots politician whose leadership brought positive impact to the LCDA.

“Oto-Awori LCDA is in mourning following the passing of its Executive Chairman, Prince Musibau Adekunle Asafa,” the statement read.

“Despite efforts by medical professionals, he could not overcome the illness. His death has left his family, political associates, and the entire community in deep sorrow.”

Since the announcement, condolences have continued to pour in from political figures, community leaders, and residents who worked with or benefitted from his administration.

Many described the late chairman as a humble and visionary leader dedicated to the progress of his people.

Prince Asafa’s legacy of service to the people of Oto-Awori LCDA is expected to be remembered for years to come.
