Mrs Akomolede said it is a period of reflection, fasting and prayers and that everyone should endeavour to shed all burdens and embrace the spirit of humility, unity, service to humanity and display duty of care by reaching out to the less privileged.

The Ekiti NOA boss said ,”both religion’s see this period as a time to reflect on their mortality, sinfulness and need for repentance, it is a sacred month of fasting and spiritual growth.
“Fasting comes providencially to us,to shake us from our lethargy, let us hand over our fears and worries to God during this period “. She urged.

Akomolede admonished everyone to seek God’s presence and intervention in the affairs of the country, noting that it is neither coincidence nor mistake that both religions are observing this Holy period known as period of penitents and forgiveness.

The Acting Director urged all to make good use of the opportunity for the betterment of the state and country at large in order to sustain the message of peace by upholding and displaying the national values that define us as a people.

She prayed that none shall miss the rewards of being faithful to God/Allah and the nation.
