A serving lawmaker in Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Johnson Bode-Adeoye, has donated a multi-purpose Ambulance with other equipment worth N12 million to Oke-mesi General Hospital, in Ekiti State.
The lawmaker popularly referred to as JOBA, said he sold his car and other personal property to assist his people who are in dare need of the Ambulance.
The lawmaker explained that such gesture was not too much for the people saying the community stood by him during a very difficult election campaigns that brought him to the house for the second term in the State Assembly.
“It is good to also return good for good”. In this environment, it is only this general hospital that does not have an Ambulance of its own.
“During the campaign to the people working in the health sector, this is one of the major request they made, a befitting Ambulance for the general hospital.
“I was first elected in 2019 and also reelected again, so when God made it possible, I started working on it right from day one”.
One of the community leaders and the immediate past Attorney – General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Wale Fapohunda, SAN, traditional ruler, lawmakers, and other stakeholders commended JOBA, for his initiative for the hospital to have an Ambulance.
