Former Oyo State governor, High Chief Rashidi Ladoja, will on Sept. 26 be crowned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The nomination of Ladoja as the next Olubadan has been approved by Gov. Seyi Makinde, palace sources confirmed.
It was gathered that a state government delegation on Wednesday met with Ladoja and members of the Olubadan-in-Council at his Bodija residence to finalise arrangements.
Speaking with newsmen in Ibadan, the media aide to the Olubadan-designate, Mr Adeola Oloko, said the coronation would take place at the historic Mapo Hall.
“Oba Ladoja will be enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025,” Oloko said.
The installation is expected to attract dignitaries from across the country.
