Legendary Juju musician, King Sunny Ade, has dismissed rumours circulating on social media that he had been kidnapped.
The music icon, popularly known as KSA, addressed the false claims in a video shared by his wife, Mrs. Bose Olubo-Adegeye, assuring fans that he is alive, safe, and active.
“Nobody kidnapped me,” he stated calmly. “I thank God and appreciate the concern from my fans. I was at a show last Saturday in Lekki, Lagos, and I’m heading for another performance soon.”
The 78-year-old musician suggested the confusion may have come from some of his children not seeing him recently, which might have triggered the panic online.
“I didn’t go anywhere. This is me. I know my children love me and want to see me, and I thank them too for their concern,” he added.
KSA reaffirmed his commitment to music, declaring that he remains fully active in his career. “By God’s grace, enjoyment continues. Music is my life and business, and I will keep doing it,” he said.
He also expressed deep gratitude to his fans for their love and concern, urging them to disregard the baseless rumours.
