Joseph Eribo Succeeds Akinwale Adeniran As CP In Ekiti

Statement by the PPRO of the State, SP Abutu Sunday, reveals the following facts about the new CP;

CP Joseph Eribo hails from Benin City, Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State. He attended Edo Boys High School, Benin City, Edo State.

He holds a Bachelor of Art (Hons) Degree in Linguistics from the University of Benin, Edo State. He equally holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) Degree from the University of Calabar, Cross River State; attended Law School, Abuja, after which he was conferred with Barrister at Law (BL); obtained Masters in Law (LLM) from the Lagos State University. 

He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police(ASP), Nigeria Police Academy, Kano.

He is the immediate past Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command. He is also a former Commissioner of Police, Taraba State Command. He served as DCP Operations, Kogi State Command: DC ZONAL CID, ZONE 9, Umuahia, Abia State; Area Commander, Agodi, Ibadan, Oyo State; AC SCID, Lafia, Nasaawa State Police Command.

He equally served as Area Commander in Area ‘F’, Lagos State Police Command; Area ‘M’, Lagos State Police Command; ACP FEDOPS, Force Headquarters, Abuja; Liaison Officer Police Service Commission; DPO, Central Police Station, Abuja; O/C Anti Fraud Unit, Abuja; amongst other. 

CP Joseph Eribo attended many capacity building courses, seminars and workshops some of which are: Senior Leadership Command Course, PSC, Jos; Securing Elections, Police Academy, Cairo, Egypt; Investigation of Small Arms and Explosives in Budapest, Hungary; High-result Oriented Course, to mention but a few.

CP Joseph Eribo is a fellow of International Association of Chiefs Of Police (IACP) and a member of many professional organisations.

He is happily married and blessed with children. His hobbies include: Table Tennis, Watching Football, Gardening and Walking.

CP Joseph Eribo is an expert in crime detection and prevention, a veteran in operations and investigations, an advocate of human rights and a professional in Community Policing. He shall deploy his inherent and acquired skills and strategies for effective and efficient service delivery to the good people of Ekiti State.

The Command therefore, seeks for the support, cooperation, collaboration of all and sundry to ensure the new administration succeeds.
