INTERPOL Declares 14 Nigerians Wanted for Various Crimes

Details published on INTERPOL’s website on Tuesday reveal the identities of the wanted persons as Felix Omoregie, Jessica Edosomwan, Uche Egbue, Jude Uzoma, Chinedu Ezeunara, Benedict Okoro, Ikechukwu Obidiozor, Alachi Stanley, Bouhari Salif, Timloh Nkem, Austine Costa, Okromi Festus, Akachi Vitus, and Mary Eze.

Allegations Against the Suspects

Felix Omoregie: Belgian authorities accuse him of leading a criminal organization involved in the exploitation of minors for prostitution and other forms of sexual exploitation.

Jessica Edosomwan: French authorities allege she participated in human trafficking involving multiple victims and organized financial crimes.

Uche Egbue, Jude Uzoma, Chinedu Ezeunara, and Benedict Okoro are wanted by authorities in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, and Nicaragua respectively for drug trafficking and organized crime.

Ikechukwu Obidiozor, Akachi Vitus, and Alachi Stanley are sought by Angola for alleged kidnapping, robbery, and illegal possession of firearms.

Mary Eze is wanted by Denmark for alleged human trafficking.

Bouhari Salif is accused by Chinese authorities of drug smuggling.

Timloh Nkem is wanted in Canada for alleged sexual assault and breaching legal conditions.

Austine Costa and Okromi Festus are being sought by Indian authorities for charges including criminal conspiracy, forgery, and cheating.

INTERPOL’s Statement

INTERPOL clarified that a Red Notice serves as a global alert to law enforcement agencies to locate and provisionally arrest a suspect pending legal action. It is not an international arrest warrant but a request from a member country.

The agency urged the public to report any information about the suspects to local police authorities, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in apprehending these individuals.
