IBADAN STAMPEDE: Court Dismisses Case Against Naomi, Oriyomi

Justice Ladiran Akintola cleared Queen Naomi, broadcaster Oriyomi Hamzat, and school principal Abdulahi Fasasi of all charges.

Oyo State Attorney General, Abiodun Aikomo, confirmed that the case was withdrawn after affected families expressed empathy and requested its discontinuation.

He noted that some families had received compensation, and seized documents had been returned.

The defendants were initially charged after a stampede at the funfair led to the tragic deaths of over 30 minors.
