“I Will Continue To Empower My Constituents Despite Loosing Re-Election Bid” – Senator Kaita

Katsina federal lawmaker representing Daura Zone, Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita has commenced distribution of various items aimed at economically empowering thousands of constituents of his senatorial district.

Kaita, who noted that empowerment remains the best way to end poverty in the country, said he was giving out the items as a way to put smiles on people’s face. 

Some Beneficiaries of the gesture have been appreciating Senator Kaita via social media platforms as they got Items like motorcycles, tricycles, sewing machines, shoe-making machines, grinding machines, popcorn-making machines, welding machines, pumping machines, sealing machines, hair-drying machines, barbing clippers and generators among others. 

The lawmaker urged the government and public office holders to see empowerment as a way of developing them economically and reducing poverty in the country.

“I will continue to empower my constituents despite loosing reelection bid to the Senate because of the love I have for Katsina State at large. 

“I’m empowering my people rather than doling out money, i felt empowering them will enable them to make their own money and be self sustained”.

Reacting to the insinuation that majority of the beneficiaries were youths, he said: “I empowered the youths for them to empower the old ones. This gestures will surely reduce poverty”. Said the Lawmaker.

One of the beneficiaries, Ibrahim Aliyu, who received motorcycle, thanked the lawmaker and prayed that God would continue to bless him for him to continue to reach out to the needy and less privilege in the society.

Other beneficiaries who expressed appreciation to the lawmaker for his kindness and care for the poor included Sani Musa and Mr Mumuni Abudu among others.
