The Ekiti State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Chief Tosin Aluko Ajisafe, has assumed office
The Commissioner who assumed duty at about 8:30am on Monday was accompanied by friends and associates, commended members of staff of the ministry and expressed happiness at the warm reception accorded her.
Chief Mrs Aluko who described herself as an easy going person encouraged staff of the ministry to be alive in discharging their duties, stressing that punctuality is the soul of business, thereby calling on staff to be punctual at work.
Earlier in his welcome address, Mr. Kayode Adumo, The General Manager, State Environmental Protection Agency on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Babatunde Alokan and members of staff welcomed the Commissioner whom he described as an astute politician who has served the state in different capacities.
Adumo, reiterated that he has known the Commissioner since the creation of Ekiti State in 1996. A prayer session was held with other members of staff to usher the commissioner in to the office and wish her the best in the new task.
Chief Oluwatosin Funmi Aluko Ajisafe (JP) was born on 28th April, 1969 in Ado Ekiti, she attended Our Saviour’s Anglican Primary School, Irona, Ado Ekiti, Mary Immaculate Girl’s Grammar School, Ado Ekiti, College of Information Technology, Akure, Ondo State, The Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti, where she bagged Higher National Diploma (Quantity Survey) in 2000.
Tosin Aluko (No shaking) as she’s fondly called has held various political offices in the state, she was a Senior Special Assistant to former Governor Kayode Fayemi on Community Engagement and Enlightenment, Commissioner, Ekiti State Local Government Service Commission. She was an Executive Chairman, Ado Local Government Council Area and the first female elected Chairman in Ekiti State.
