Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga (retd.), in Tsiga village, Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Eyewitnesses said the attack occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday when armed assailants stormed the community, firing sporadically to create panic.
Tsiga was allegedly abducted alongside several villagers.
As of the time of reporting, authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
