Group Calls On EFCC To Pick Sacked Sen.Abbo Over Alleged Lavished Constituency Funds

Adamawa Inter-Party Coalition has reacted to a statement credited to Elisha Abbo, now a former Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District in which he blamed his  fate on the Senate President, His Excellency Senator Godswill Akpabio.

Abbo alleged that Sen. Akpabio had a hand in what he believed was an unfavorable judgment of the Appellate Court against him. Adamawa Inter-Party Coalition  condemned what it described as reckless conduct of Sen. Abbo for over four years, adding that it is sad to note that Adamawa produced the worst Senator in the history of Nigeria.

In a statement released by the Secretary of the Coalition Mr. Peter Jacob, the group called on the EFCC to quickly go after Sen. Abbo before he escapes out of the country.

The statement reads in part; “Although we understand the need to hide under the guise of religion ahead of the 2023 elections, Sen. Abbo drove home the message of his disappointment by Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the choice of his running mate to gain sympathy votes. But what we still cannot comprehend is the fact that it is this same Abbo who condemned the Muslim-Muslim ticket in the 2023 elections who brazenly stood against the emergence of a Christian Senate President in favour of another Muslim Senate President that, thankfully, came to grief.”

“We would like to call on Abbo to list his achievements as a Senator for four years. He had done more harm than good to his constituency. It is on record that the first constituency project executed by Abbo was at a sex toy shop where he brutally assaulted a lady store attendant. Abbo has dented the hard-earned image and the reputation of the good people of Adamawa North Senatorial District.”

“To us, the court judgment came as good news because Abbo didn’t win his election in the first place. Abbo has been enmeshed in countless scandals and now we are relieved of this tortuous embarrassment. His political party is never an issue. But the future has a way of rewriting the result of the past.”
