Stakeholders have reiterated that grassroots development is essential to improving the standard of living in Nigeria, stressing that true progress begins at the community level where access to basic amenities, economic opportunities, and social infrastructure directly impacts daily lives.
In a statement made available to newsmen, the group noted that collective consciousness must be firmly aligned with the goal of grassroots advancement, adding that only through deliberate and sustained investment at the community level can Nigeria build a more inclusive, prosperous, and resilient society.
The statement singled out Hon. (AVM Rtd) Rufus Adeniyi Ojuawo* for commendation, noting that he has consistently demonstrated strong commitment to the welfare of his constituents through the provision of essential amenities and people-focused initiatives.
“His approach to representation reflects empathy, responsibility, and a clear vision for sustainable development — one that prioritizes the well-being of the people and lays a solid foundation for future growth,” the statement read.
It further emphasized that Hon. Ojuawo has ensured the needs of the grassroots are not only recognized but adequately addressed, describing his style as “leadership that works.”
The group urged other public office holders to emulate such representation models that place communities at the center of governance, insisting that consolidating gains at the grassroots is critical ahead of 2027.
