Nigerians who frequently travel to Europe now have the opportunity to apply for a five-year multiple-entry Schengen visa. This visa allows entry into any of the 29 Schengen countries multiple times over a five-year period, provided the stay does not exceed 90 days within any 180-day window.
The visa is designed for business people, frequent travellers, and those with a solid history of international travel. It makes movement across Europe easier by reducing the need to apply repeatedly, saving time and money on processing fees, and cutting down on paperwork and embassy interviews.
Though approval is not automatic, Nigerians with a better chance of getting this long-term visa include:
Those who have held a two-year multiple-entry Schengen visa within the last three years
Travellers who visit the Schengen zone at least two to three times annually
Individuals with a clean travel record, no overstays, and proper documentation
Applicants must also meet basic requirements such as:
Writing a strong cover letter explaining the need for regular travel
Showing proof of sufficient funds
Having valid long-term travel insurance that covers the Schengen area
Applicants who have this visa can travel to the following 29 Schengen countries:
