Tinubu’s daughter, while addressing the pressmen said “a lot of people believed in Asiwaju, they believed him at this crucial period, where we are in Nigeria today”.

Continuing, she said, “the people believe they need the expertise, experience of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu because he has done it before and the people have seen what he did”.

She urged the Nigerian Electorates not to gamble during this electioneering period. She told the gathering during the inauguration that they have deemed it feat to market the man Asiwaju Tinubu not because of themselves as individuals but because of the nearest future. “If you are here in Nigeria today and you think Asiwaju is not the right candidate, posterity will judge you”, she declared.

Earlier, the National Chairman of Folashade Tinubu Solidarity Movement, FOTSOM, Prince Kayode Sijuade Akin-Samuel pointed out reasons why Tinubu is the right Presidential Candidate for the 2023 general election. According to him, he said, looking back at the track record of Tinubu when he was the governor of Lagos State, he is a detribalized leader.

He went on to describe Asiwaju Tinubu as the only governor that have appointed non-indigenes across the states into his cabinet as Commissioners, Special Advisers, Director Generals of Agencies, Boards and Commissions among others.

Akin – Samuel added that it was the blueprints he did for Lagos State that has remained the guide for its rapid development, which helped there Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, to increase from N700 millions to several billions today, which made Lagos State to become a mini Nigeria. We should allow him to replicate same in the Country by voting him come 2023 as the Country’s President”.

When asked about his view on Muslim-Muslim ticket, he said “if we want Nigeria to regain it’s lost glory, we should separate religion from governance, religion is a personal belief while governance is a collective issue”.

“If we are able to do this, we can move forward. Anyone talking about religion is just using it as a political propaganda for campaign. We should come together to support Asiwaju Tinubu for a new Nigeria to be birthed”.

Reacting to information that Mr. Peter Obi will be a threat to Asiwaju Tinubu in 2023, Akin – Samuel urged Nigerians to throw away such a thought, saying Peter Obi cannot be a threat to Tinubu in 2023 general elections in the Country.

He reminded Nigerians to recall that both of them were governors in Anambra and Lagos States some years back, but that today, their track records and contributions to national development will continue to speak for both of them in respect of the 2023 contest.
