The founder and President of Super Eagles Supporters Club (SESC) Prince Vincent Okumagba has expressed optimism that Super Falcons will seal the qualifications in the 2nd leg in Pretoria on Tuesday April 9
Reacting after the game played at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, on Friday, Okumagba who led his members to cheer the girls to a slim victory assured that Falcons will successfully preserve their advantage in the 2nd leg.
Captain, Rasheed Ajibade’s 43rd minute goal handed the Super Falcons of Nigeria a narrow 1-0 win over continental rivals, South Africa, in the first leg of qualifiers for football event of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
“Any of our tie with Bayana Bayana these days is not expected to be easy, but the zeal and determination I noticed in Falcons will definitely see us through in the second leg as we all know that the winner of this tie will qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris.” SESC boss noted.
The Vice President of African Supporters Association however commended the Randy Waldrum’s ladies for keeping their slender lead through the second half despite the South Africans efforts to get back in the game.
