About 500 Pupils of Sango Secondary School, Wumoani Alaga High School and CAC Primary School, all in the Sango axis of Ibadan that benefited from the ‘One Student, One Sandal’ programme of Glorious Ladies Club were full of gratitude and excitement.
Members of the Non-Governmental Organization, Glorious Ladies Club visited the three schools and shared good moments with the kids while distributing school sandals to pupils mostly from less privileged backgrounds.
The motive behind such a gesture according to the President of the club, Mrs. Omole Jadesola Esther was to give back to the society and basically support and create a brighter tomorrow for the under-privileged children.
The Glorious Ladies while addressing the pupils at their various schools urged them to face their studies and always desist from acts capable of tarnishing the names of the families while promising them of frequent visitation to support their welfare.
Omole in her chat with newsmen after the event said the mission of the NGO, the Glorious Ladies Club, is to better the lot of the less privileged and this particular programme is aimed at creating a brighter tomorrow for the under-privileged children.
“We have been doing our best for the past two years that we have established this NGO which comprises ladies of like minds that have deep passion for helping people in need, and finding them opportunities to excel. It’s pleasurable. Helping others may just be the secret to living a life that is not only happier but also healthier”, Omole noted.
