Ex-Deputy Gov. Abiodun Aluko Urges Ekiti People To Rally Oyebanji For Second Term

By Ayodele Abere

Surveyor Abiodun Aluko made the appeal on Thursday while speaking with journalists at his home town, Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

The former Deputy Governor, who is the current Pro-Chancellor of University of Ilorin, Kwara State, also doubles as Chairman and Coordinator of BAO’s Endorsement Committee while fielding questions from newsmen on the build up to Ekiti 2026 and the significance of the committee he’s coordinating, opined that the governor is good, urging the people to encourage him, pray for him and cooperate with him to ensure that at the end of his eight years as governor, he would look back and say he left Ekiti better than he met it.

“We are seeing with our eyes what BAO is doing with the money coming to Ekiti.  He has spent two years plus, not even up to three years now. If he could do all these within the short period,  let’s give him an opportunity to run a second term.  He has that constitutional right”, said the former deputy governor.

Speaking on the factor behind the deluge of endorsements the Governor has been receiving from far and near, Aluko maintained that, Governor Biodun Oyebanji has been doing well since he came on board as the governor.

“We don’t want to leave anything to chance. We are in a multi-party democratic system. We conceived the idea that early birds catch the worms.  We don’t have to wait until a month to the primaries before we start mobilising and sensitising the people. We want ninety percent of the votes for BAO. He deserves it”, Aluko stated.

The APC Chieftain said that the endorsement that the governor is getting here and there is not at the prompting of the Governor himself, noting that Ekiti South started it to appreciate the fantastic jobs that BAO is doing across the State.
