By Titilayo Iwalewa

Tinubu, Founder and Lead partner at White Orange Management, stated this in her keynote address during the fifth edition of The Exceptional Alaga (TEA) Conference 5.0, on Wednesday in Lagos.

The theme of the conference is “LIMITLESS – Precepts and Principles for premium Services as an Event”.

Tinubu, who spoke on the topic: ‘Expanding Your Horizon’, said that there was need for traditional wedding comperes to constantly check their health status due to the nature of their jobs.

“Do not believe that because you dance at all times, think you are in good and sound health.

“You need to always check your health status due to the nature of your jobs, and more importantly, to remain healthy, fit and relevant in the industry.”

She listed the health checks to include High Blood Pressure (HBP), Cholesterol, Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS) for diabetes, cervical screenings for women and prostate checks for men of over 40 years old.

“The checks are necessary, health is wealth, and I also advise that you avoid anything that can trigger your health, and prevent overwork.

“Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, proteins and grains.

“You have to stay active by incorporating regular exercise into your routine, such as walking and jogging, get enough sleep at night to allow for your body to rest and rejuvenate.

“Prioritise mental health by practicing stress management techniques, seeking support when needed, and taking time for self-care activities,” she said.

She urged those in the industry to embrace humility beyond traditional gestures, acknowledging and learning from their mistakes without defensiveness.

The convener of TEA Conference 5.0 and Chief Executive Officer, Amoke Alaga Events, Mrs Olaoluwakitan Abiola, described the event as hybrid with participants from different countries.

She said there would be follow-up trainings on how to be limitless via planned activities, seminars, collaborations and special outings where participants would be able to continuously learn from other people’s wealth of knowledge.

Abiola expressed optimism that the conference would help the brand’s visibility and enlist as a premium and luxury vendor.

Participants from UK, USA, Dubai, Canada as well as other parts of Nigeria joined the conference virtually.
