By Ayodele Abere

The Rector made the disclosure on Friday while giving his keynote address during the matriculation ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic session held at the main campus of the Polytechnic in Ado-Ekiti,  the State capital.

Engr. Alake, who explained that the transformational vision is encapsulated in the National Skills Qualifying Framework (NSQF), a forward thinking programme supervised by the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB), said he’s proud to announce that the Polytechnic has been selected and certified by the Federal Government of Nigeria as one of the Institutions in Nigeria to train and award certificates under the NSQF programme.

Admonishing the matriculants, the Rector pointed out that the matriculation wasn’t just a routine or a mere ceremonial event, but a declaration of promise,  potential and purpose. “It signifies the beginning of an extraordinary journey that will shape destinies, unlock possibilities, and pave the way for future leaders, innovators, and change-makers “.

The Polytechnic helmsman noted that in spite of the increasing number of Tertiary institutions in the country, the Polytechnic has never lost its prestige and pride of place saying the consistent influx of students competing for admission in the Institution speaks volumes about the quality training,  mentorship and certification offered across the five schools and thirty-six accredited departments.

“Our commitment to academic excellence, stability, and students’ Welfare set us apart because we ensure that every student who walks through our doors experiences holistic growth and unparalleled opportunities “. Said the Rector.

While encouraging the new students to embrace the challenges ahead with courage and determination, Engr. Alake told them that the Polytechnic is not only reliable but desirable, not just a place of learning but a crucible of innovation and transformation. Adding that the Polytechnic has remained steadfast in delivering qualitative and pragmatic education,  producing graduates who have made indelible marks in various spheres of human endeavour.

Urging the matriculants to stay focused, remain disciplined, and make the most of every learning experience, Engr. Temitope John Alake,  said their dreams are valid and that their potentials are limitless as he welcomed the new students to the Polytechnic where he said dreams are nurtured, potentials unleashed and success  inevitable.
